Morning | Early Childhood: Promoting Social Emotional Development

It is important for all adults to be intentional about teaching social emotional skills to young children. This workshop is designed for those who focus on enhancing parent-child interactions and building competencies while encouraging families to be partners in their child's development.

The session will introduce the importance of providing opportunities for children to begin to understand their own, as well as others’ emotions and identify strategies for supporting the development of these essential skills. Participants will also learn how to utilize beloved children's books as powerful tools for teaching and reinforcing the social-emotional skills young children need for social and academic success.
